Biodiversity – a richness of species in the collection

This exhibition centers on the diversity of all life forms on earth, including many types of plants, animals, fungi and micro-organisms and the variation within species as well as between ecosystems: all this variation makes up biodiversity. A wide selection of specimens from the animal and plant kingdom illustrates biodiversity. They can be seen, mounted, dried or preserved in spirit: algae, flowering plants, sponges, cnidarians, roundworms, molluscs, arthropods, echinoderms, cartilaginous fish, amphibians, mammals, reptiles and birds.
